The Italian medieval novel under this title was written by the best friend of the famous Dante Alighieri, Bozone de Gubio from Umbria, a writer and politician from northern Italy. The manuscript, according to E. Macanti, was written before 1400, and describes the adventures of five knights and barons who After a Sicilian afternoon (1282) went to a distant world in search of new adventures.
