  • "De mi casona", one of his most beautiful books narrating his first memories of him in his native Piura. Enrique López Álbújar (Piura, November 23, 1872 - †Lima, March 6, 1966) at the age of 94, was a great Peruvian poet-writer. He studied at the National College of Guadalupe; He cultivated different styles in the narrative and is above all known as one of the creators of indigenismo. He studied at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and graduated in 1899. There was confusion regarding the town of origin and for a time it was thought that he was born in Chiclayo because his wife was the lady Lucila Trint from Chiclayo but later it has been clarified that he was born in Piura as stated in his baptismal certificate, in his file from the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos where he graduated as a lawyer, and in his civil marriage certificate in the District Municipality of La Huaca in the province of Paita, clearing up all doubts. It was in Piura where he grew up and was educated. After active work in journalism, he dedicated himself to the magistracy, serving as a judge in different regions of Peru. His main contribution links him to indigenismo. He incorporates the forms of the Modern Story to account for the Andean world, the flesh and blood Indian, with their beliefs and forms of violence. He is considered the first narrator to build a plausible image of the Peruvian Indian.
