First edition, 1925. Imp. Chile, preface by Mamerto Cadiz. Physical chemistry biology essay. 400 pages, book in good condition.

"Clinical Ionic Acidity", a biological and microbiological physical-chemical essay, which introduced into clinical medicine the notions of pH, hydrosaline balance, ionic reactions, intermediary metabolism and the birth of modern endocrinology and nutrition. In the introduction to this book, Cruz-Coke was ahead of his time by describing the theoretical principles of the physics of atomic energy and the possibility of the release of its energy in an explosion. As a reward for his meteoric career, Cruz-Coke was elected Regular Professor of Physiological Chemistry by the Faculty of Medicine, in September 1925, replacing his teacher García Valenzuela who took refuge in retirement. He took up his new chair in October and completed his course at the end of the year. The new teacher aroused admiration and his enthusiastic students Mardones, Croxatto, Matte, Calvo and Honorato joined his Chair to accompany him throughout his life.
